Ingredients
Method
Prepare the Marinade
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add this to the marinade.
Marinate the Salmon
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cook the Salmon
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove salmon from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later.
- Place the salmon in the skillet, skin side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Flip the salmon and add the reserved marinade to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
Thicken the Sauce
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the skillet. Increase the heat and let the marinade simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Serve
- Plate the salmon and drizzle the thickened teriyaki sauce over the top.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes
For added flavor, you can grill the salmon instead of pan-searing it. Serve with steamed rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
