A quick and easy one-pan lasagna that combines all the flavors of traditional lasagna in a fraction of the time, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 12 lasagna noodles lasagna noodles broken into pieces
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 cup water
For the Cheese Layer
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the broken lasagna noodles, marinara sauce, and water. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes or until the noodles are tender.
Add Cheese Layer
  1. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Once the noodles are tender, dollop the cheese mixture over the skillet. Gently stir to combine.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Finish Cooking
  1. Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
