Method
Prepare the Base
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the broken lasagna noodles, marinara sauce, and water. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes or until the noodles are tender.
Add Cheese Layer
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
- Once the noodles are tender, dollop the cheese mixture over the skillet. Gently stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Finish Cooking
- Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
