Method
Prepare the Chicken
- In a bowl, soak the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize the meat.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the pretzel crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Coat the Chicken
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove each chicken breast from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the pretzel crumb mixture.
Bake the Chicken
- Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
Serve
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the Pretzel Crusted Chicken with honey mustard for dipping.
