Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces chicken thighs boneless, skinless
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup figs dried, chopped
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 clove garlic minced
For Serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken thighs to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Make the Glaze
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the chopped figs, balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. Let the glaze simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
Combine and Serve
  1. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the balsamic fig glaze over the chicken in the skillet, coating it evenly.
  2. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
