Ingredients
  

For the Meat Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for frying
  • 1 cup ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Cheese Mixture
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
For Assembling
  • 4 lasagna noodles uncooked
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for topping

Method
 

Prepare the Meat Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened.
Make the Cheese Mixture
  1. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, and chopped parsley. Mix well until smooth.
Assemble the Lasagna
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a small baking dish.
  3. Layer 2 lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the cheese mixture on top.
  4. Add another layer of meat sauce, followed by 2 more noodles, the remaining cheese mixture, and top with the rest of the meat sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake the Lasagna
  1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve
  1. Let the lasagna cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
