Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries washed and drained
  • 1 cup granulated sugar divided
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour for blueberry mixture
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
For the Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Blueberry Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the fresh blueberries with 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour, baking powder, and the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar.
  2. Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Combine and Bake
  1. Pour the blueberry mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. Spoon the topping mixture over the blueberries, spreading it gently to cover the fruit.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Serve
  1. Remove the cobbler from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
  2. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.

Notes

Feel free to substitute frozen blueberries if fresh ones are not available, but make sure to thaw and drain them first. Adjust sugar according to your taste preference.
