Ingredients
  

For the Noodles
  • 8 ounces wheat noodles
  • 4 cups water for boiling noodles
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
For the Topping
  • 1 cup ground pork can substitute with ground chicken or beef
  • 2 tablespoons green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon peanuts chopped for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Noodles
  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add the wheat noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, drain the noodles and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine sesame paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger.
  2. Whisk together until smooth and set aside.
Cook the Topping
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground pork.
  2. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Combine Everything
  1. In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked noodles with the sauce until well coated.
  2. Divide the noodles into serving bowls and top with the cooked ground pork.
  3. Garnish with sliced green onions and chopped peanuts.
Serve
  1. Serve hot and enjoy your Dan Dan Noodles!

Notes
