Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for roasting
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup apple cider preferably fresh
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Method
 

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
  1. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender.
Make the Glaze
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider, butter, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a simmer and thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
Combine and Serve
  1. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle the cider glaze over them.
  2. Toss to coat evenly and serve warm.
