Make the Cookie Dough
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Prepare the Filling
- In another bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the Rolls
- Scoop out a tablespoon of cookie dough and flatten it in your palm. Place a teaspoon of cream cheese filling in the center.
- Carefully fold the edges of the cookie dough over the filling to create a ball, ensuring the filling is sealed inside.
- Place the filled dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake the Cookies
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve
- Enjoy the chocolate chip cookie rolls warm or at room temperature, perfect with a glass of milk!

Notes
For best results, make sure the butter and cream cheese are at room temperature. You can add nuts or dried fruit to the filling for extra flavor.
