Prepare the Chicken
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the chicken breasts in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish.
Add the Toppings
- Layer the sliced mozzarella cheese on top of each chicken breast.
- Evenly distribute the halved cherry tomatoes over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the torn basil leaves on top.
Bake the Dish
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
- Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
Serve
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
- Serve hot with a side salad or your favorite vegetables.
