Prepare the Liver
- Place the sliced beef liver in a bowl and cover it with milk. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes to help mellow the flavor.
- After soaking, remove the liver from the milk and pat it dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cook the Liver
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 3 minutes until softened.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Carefully add the seasoned liver to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
Serve
- Remove the liver from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Slice the liver and serve it garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.
