Method
Prepare the Pasta

- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Combine Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and half of the grated parmesan cheese. Mix well.
Assemble the Dish
- Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Top the pasta with the shredded mozzarella cheese and the remaining parmesan cheese.
Bake
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Garnish and Serve
- Remove the baked penne from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.
