Instructions

  1. Rinse wild rice under cold water. In a pot, combine with 4 cups of water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes until tender.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté onion and celery for 5-7 minutes until softened. Add sausage; cook until browned.
  3. Stir in cranberries and herbs; cook for an additional minute.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cooked wild rice with sautéed mixture and chicken broth gently.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer stuffing to a greased baking dish, cover loosely with foil, and bake for 25 minutes, removing foil for the last five minutes.
