  2. Blend raspberries with sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Strain to remove seeds if desired.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the raspberry puree with water, stirring until sugar dissolves (about 5 minutes). Let cool.
  4. Chill the mixture in an airtight container for at least 2 hours.
  5. Churn in an ice cream maker until soft-serve consistency is reached, or pour into a shallow dish and freeze until solid.
