  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
  • 4 cups corn tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and ⅔ cup water; simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Layer crushed tortilla chips at the bottom of the baking dish, followed by half the beef mixture and half the shredded cheese. Repeat layers.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then top with tomatoes, green onions, and sour cream before serving.
