  • 2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse the turkey inside and out under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Steep saffron threads in warm chicken broth for 10 minutes to release color and flavor.
  3. Rub turkey with olive oil, ensuring to get under the skin. Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic, thyme, and rosemary.
  4. Squeeze the juice of 2 oranges into the cavity and place the halved oranges inside.
