  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (divided)
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until just combined. Shape into golf ball-sized meatballs.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs on all sides for about 5 minutes.
  4. Grease a deep-dish pizza pan and stretch out the pizza dough to cover the bottom and sides. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom.
  5. Place cooked meatballs evenly over the sauce, then add shredded mozzarella cheese on top followed by the remaining marinara sauce.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
