Croque-Monsieur is a classic French sandwich that beautifully combines crispy bread, savory ham, and gooey melted Gruyère cheese.   • 4 oz thinly sliced ham
  • 4 oz Gruyère cheese, grated

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side, spread Dijon mustard. Layer ham and Gruyère cheese on one slice and top with another slice, buttered side facing out.
  3. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until both sides are crispy and the cheese melts.
  5. Serve warm, cut diagonally, and enjoy!
