  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook sliced bacon until crispy. Add sausage slices and brown them until fully cooked.
  2. Stir in the chopped onions, carrots, and potatoes until coated with the meat drippings.
  3. Pour in chicken broth until it covers the ingredients by about an inch; bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Season with thyme, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes until vegetables are tender.
