  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove giblets from the turkey cavity, rinse, and pat dry.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Stir in breadcrumbs and chicken broth until combined. Mix in chopped herbs, seasoning generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Stuff the turkey cavity loosely with the herb mixture.
  5. Rub softened butter over the turkey skin; season with salt and pepper.
  6. Place turkey breast-side up in a roasting pan and roast for about 13-15 minutes per pound until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), basting occasionally.
